I was making some runs on BPoHC when suddenly it ocurred to me to make a thread about the cell events! owo Especially anecdotes about them~
So here is my idea : Let's talk about these moments where the game decides to create an infernal combo of events (e.g : Complete flip and Blindness III), or, the moments where is totally the opposite and is like a walk in the meadow (e.g : Enemy Hp down and Item drops up).
I don't know if I have explained myself so I'm going to give an example (I'ts actually something that happened to me) :
I was on the Stage 3 doing the neutral route with Hooaka (I was trying all the playable characters) as main, the run at this point was very good, my barries were intact and my power at max. Suddenly a midboss battle appears. It was a battle vs Kurohebi (easy battle for me), but when I readed the cell event it was MENALISM. And yup, Kurohebi's attack was one of they spellcards...
That battle just destroyed my barriers and my dignity x'D Welp, I hope you like the idea and share with all your anecdotes about the cell events~
NOTE : If this thread can't be on the Official Games I can erase it and move it to another place of the forum.

Honestly nothing is worse than having such a great Unreal run and then getting Complete Flip, Drunken Enemies and Immortality and BOMB SEAL. I've found that bombs can get you through basically anything so bomb seal is easily the worst you can get on high levels.

I can only think of one off the top of my head. I was playing Unreal with Instant Death. I was fooling around in the Haze route, and managed to get past Souko and Kujiru pretty alright. Then I get Iyozane as a midboss, and they play "Strait Stenosis".
Case in point: "Strait Stenosis" + Walking on Ice = Fission Mailed.

"Prime Minister in Black Robes" + Complete Flip + Walking on Ice
Decided it was easier to just restart since it was only like 4 cells in

That's surprisingly exactly the same thing I got at one lovely cell at Stage 1 of all things
Needless to say, I went from the initial lives / barriers to literally a life left. Not even a barrier for the sake of mercy, just a single life left. It was also wonderful because the patterns were so crazy, I was just staring at it and be like "THIS IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL NOT EVEN PRUNS CAN DODGE THIS"

Tbh I wonder why Hibaru is my favorite, I don't really have a reason to like Hibaru.

I've never really encountered any terrible combos (becuase im easy modo ;u;) but can we all agree that "Complete Flip" is easily one of the worsts? It's not that bad on its own, but thrown together with another bad one (drunk enemys, bomb seal, etc.) it can be everyones worst nightmare
(in my opinion, but maybe i just need to play higher difficultys to get a better one)

[Dat Slippery Event] + Bomb Seal = game over... Also if you add immortal enemies and any kind of flip, then its total rip... I personally had The first combo without anything else, and it was enough to end my instant death run...

Now this is really strange, although it doesn't exactly belong here. So I have this very visual memory, that in the Demo-Version, when I decided to test Unreal-Mode, I encountered an abnormal version of the gravity event. It was not pushing me up or downwards, but instead to the right side of the Screen. The push was so strong that I practically could only move on the right border of the screen. I know that I encountered Jun with their last spell-card, and that I got a game over. I now know, that there is no such event in the game, but I still can see exactly how it was. Please believe me that I'm not trolling or anything, I really think that I've seen such an event- I remember it very well.
My best explanation would be that, Suzumi's screwing with me.
Also FUCK EVERY SINGLE EVENT THAT INVOLVES FLIPPING CONTROLS
